Goblins and ghoulies to soon be on parade
Trick-or-Treat Night for Northwestern Lehigh is set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. There is no rain date.
Tell your little zombies, minions and princesses to get their costumes ready and be sure to reinforce their candy bags.

Trick or Treat at Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville, will be Oct. 24-25.
Costume clad kiddos can investigate mysterious animal encounters, sing along to spooky music and meet special characters.
Swig a seasonal brew Oct. 17 as the zoo celebrates Ottertoberfest. Enjoy beer, wine, food, music and otterly fun activities at this autumn amusement open to youngsters of all ages.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will host a basket social 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 9; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 10.
The social will include food, special raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Basket drawing will take place 2 p.m. Oct. 10. Participants need not be present to win.
Donated baskets containing new items would be appreciated to help with the event. Anyone who donates a basket will receive an extra 25 chances to win.
Baskets must be received by Oct. 6.

Morgenland’s Special Events Committee will host its annual Halloween party and fall festival 4 p.m. Oct. 25.
The fest will feature games, storytelling, hay rides and pumpkin painting. Costumes are optional. Goblins of all ages are welcome to attend.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, will be having a penny party in the social hall Oct. 16.
Doors open 6 p.m. Bidding starts at 7 p.m. Bring loose change or purchase rolled coin at the door. Penny partyers will enjoy passing their baskets while bebopping to D.J. Jason Ruhe.
The food pantry will be accepting donations to stock shelves 9-11 a.m. Oct. 20.
