Oct. 3

Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society will host an open house at the 1870 Memorial Presbyterian Church, 407 Franklin Street. Tours of Thomas Iron Works at Lock Ridge also will be offered. Tours are offered noon and 3 p.m. The event is free.

Old Zionsville UCC, 5981 Fountain Road, will host an all-you-can-eat ham and turkey dinner 4 to 7 p.m. There is a cost. For information, call 610-966-5242.

Oct. 7

Luther Crest is hosting a free six-week Journey through Grief support program open to the public to be led by the Rev. Dianne Kareha, Luther Crest chaplain. The sessions 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 11 will be held at the Luther Crest senior living community, 800 Hausman Road. For more information, call 610-391-8210.

Church of St. Ann Knights of Columbus, Emmaus, will host a 50/50 cash bingo event. Doors open 7 p.m. and games start 7:30 p.m. There is a cost.

Oct. 10

Fire prevention open house and craft fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Citizens Fire Company (Vera Cruz), 4093 Main Road West, Emmaus. Browse the over 30 crafters and vendors, try your luck at the raffle tables, grab some treats at the bake sale and refreshment stand and tour the trucks with volunteers. Kids activities include a visit with Smokey Bear and fire prevention education by volunteer firefighters. There is no admission fee and free parking. Lower Macungie Garden Club meeting and program 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Community Center, Brookside Road, Macungie.
