Meet the Teacher Night at the Steckel building will be 6:30-8:30 p.m., tonight, Thursday, Sept. 24. This is a great opportunity for parents to visit the school and meet with their child’s teachers. Parents are asked to not bring children to the event.

The book fair at Steckel continues to run through tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 25.

Picture day at Steckel is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2. Students will bring home an order form for parents to review.

An optional breakfast program will be offered this year. Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, students will have the opportunity to purchase a cold breakfast before the school day begins. Please watch for more details that will be sent home with your child. More information is also available on the district’s website, whitehallcoplay.org.

Zephyr Elementary is holding a McZephyr Night fundraiser 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, at McDonald’s, MacArthur Road, near Sears. Teachers will be taking orders and serving food for the evening. This fun event is a great way to help Zephyr Elementary raise funds for the school.

Schools will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, for Columbus Day. This is a professional development day for teachers. Students will resume classes on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
