Emmaus students met three new faces this year, filling the spots of three previous administrators, Matthew Gale, Sally Hanzlik and Andrea Edmonds.
Hanzlik, previously the 12th grade assistant principal, became a social studies teacher this year, with new assistant principal Joshua Miller filling Hanzlik’s place, becoming the freshmen class principal.
Lorie Gamble filled Gale’s position and now acts as the 11th grade principal.
Lastly, Andrea Edmonds, the prinicipal of academic affairs, plans to leave in October and her replacement will be Tabitha Rodriquez.
With new administrative changes also came new technology changes.
The universal login has changed for all students. To log on to a computer, students must use their new username, which is their first initial, last name and graduating year, for example: jsmith16. This is the new Moodle login as well, which will connect students to their own Gmail account. In addition, Moodle will be introducing a new feature called “Google Classroom” which many teachers have started to use.
Emmaus High School officials will administer the PSAT/NMSQT test in a different fashion this year. The test will be 8 a.m. Oct. 14 and will model the new SAT, which will be given in March. Due to space constraints, there is a limited seating. Registration will close Oct. 6. There is a fee.
