A Pennsylvania German Harvest dinner and program will be held 5:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. The program will follow the meal in the historic 1819 Sanctuary and will feature Nancy (Hasson) Roan, a noted expert on Pennsylvania German Quilts from Montgomery County, speaking on the topic of Pennsylvania German Quilts. Tickets are required for the event and can be obtained by calling the church office at 610-797-4242.

GFWC PA Woman’s Club of Emmaus monthly meeting 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets. Members will share a special 75th birthday with Krista Pegnetter, director of the Emmaus Public Library. The club will take orders for Gertrude Hawk Candy. New members are always welcome.

The quarterly meeting of the Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will be held 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. After a short business meeting, Candace K. Perry curator at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, will speak on the lore of Pennsylvania German folk healing, commonly known as powwow in English or Braucherei in the Pennsylvania German dialect.
