St. Anne School, Bethlehem, will celebrate the visit of Pope Francis with several events on Sept. 23rd at the school, 375 Hickory St., with a welcome motorcade and parade, with a life-size image of His Holiness, at 10:30 a.m. The parade will also be send-off for the school’s technology manager, Rayann Vasko, a volunteer captain at the welcome events and at the papal Mass in Philadelphia.
The school day will begin with special prayers for Pope Francis during the school Mass at 8:45 a.m. Students, faculty, staff and families will wear a Pope Francis t-shirt for the day, enjoy a specially-created papal cookie dessert and participate in the diocesan photography activity taking photos with the “Flat Francis” image throughout the school prior to the pope’s visit.
