Community involvement needed

The Student Government Association of Salisbury High School and advisor Michael Anderson are planning a homecoming parade for Oct. 16.

Anderson said this will be the first homecoming parade to the best of his knowledge.

The Salisbury Youth Association, Boys and Girl Scouts, Eastern and Western Salisbury fire departments, Salisbury police, bands from Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School, twirlers, school board members and Salisbury alumni have all been contacted to participate in the parade.

Dignitaries have also been contacted.

Anderson said he would like to reach out to alumni, residents, VFW groups and clubs residing or meeting in Salisbury to participate in this event.

The parade is still being planned; however, the parade is expected to stage at the administration building/Harry S Truman Elementary School area and wind through the streets ending at the high school prior to the football game.

Any Salisbury groups, residents, military members or alumni interested in participating should contact Anderson at 610-797-4107, ext. 2532 or email manderson@salisburysd.org.
