A resident in the 2700 block of South Pike Avenue reported 4:28 p.m. Aug. 21 the theft of electronics and jewelry from the home sometime during the day. Police say there were no signs of forced entry.
An 8-year-old juvenile was hit by a motorist in the 1500 block of East Susquehanna Street 6:32 p.m. Aug. 21. The driver of the vehicle stopped as well as two witnesses who confirmed the juvenile crossed the road in front of the driver. No charges are pending.
Two residents walking their dogs along Dauphin Street 12:34 a.m. Aug. 25 found two Social Security cards and three birth certificates. Police are investigating.
Police are searching for a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, medium build in his 50s who removed cigars from the Shell Quick Stop, 1132 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., 8:12 p.m. Aug. 26. The suspect drove a blue PT Cruiser.
Victoria’s Secret, 3300 Lehigh St., reported 7:46 p.m. Aug. 31 the theft of 50 pairs of underwear from a front store display valued at $725.
John Sassaman, 56, of Allentown, allegedly assaulted a victim at a property in the 1800 block of Stratford Court 7:32 p.m. Aug. 26. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Christopher Paynter, 25, of Monessen, Westmoreland County, was picked up by Salisbury police in the 2200 block of South Dauphin Street 6:57 p.m. Aug. 27 on a domestic warrant out of Monessen. He was extradited to Westmoreland County.
Jeffrey Smith, 23, no known address, was taken into custody by Salisbury police at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., 12:53 p.m. Aug. 28. Salisbury police confirmed Smith was wanted on a parole violation in New York. He was taken to Lehigh County prison while awaiting extradition.
A resident in the 1300 block of Van Vetchen Avenue reported 12:15 p.m. Aug. 29 smelling smoke and finding his fence smoldering caused by a discarded cigarette.
A resident in the 900 block of Belford Road reported 8:37 a.m. Sept. 2 an unknown actor opened a door of a vehicle on the property. No items were removed.
A resident in the 1700 block of Savercool Avenue reported 11:04 p.m. Aug. 30 posting four Honda rims and tires for sale on an Internet website. After multiple emails, the resident agreed to sell the equipment to a male for $300. The male left with the equipment and the resident discovered the three $100 bills were counterfeit.
Salisbury police were notified 11:11 a.m. Aug. 31 a resident registered with Megan’s Law had moved Aug. 15 and did not notify police of the new address in Allentown. He will be charged with a felony for failure to comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements.
Police were called to Starbucks, 3170 Lehigh St. 6:54 p.m. Aug. 31 for the report of an intoxicated person. The person left before police arrived.
