Lynda Randle to perform concert at Heidelberg Union Church

The public is invited! On Sept. 11, Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, is having professional gospel singer, Lynda Randle, return to the church 7 p.m. to perform her inspiring vocal talents along with her endearing words of God’s impact on her life.

The community is invited to attend this special concert event. Doors open 5 p.m.

Come out early for the talents of “Jack and Friends,” who will provide entertainment leading up to the show from 5:15-6:15 p.m. followed by a short break.

Time to change! Beginning Sept. 13, Heidelberg Lutheran Church’s worship service will take place 8:30 a.m.

Heidelberg UCC worship service will start at 11 a.m. Sunday School will start again 9:45 a.m.

Don’t miss it! On Sept. 20, in celebration of its 275th anniversary, Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, will have a Harvest Home Union Service at 11 a.m.

Guest speaker Donald Breininger will discuss harvest home and he might throw in a little Pennsylvania Dutch, too.

A Pa. Dutch covered dish luncheon will follow immediately after the service.

To take part in the covered dish luncheon, sign up on the sheet in the narthex of the church or call Eleanor Klevenhagen at 610-841-9803.

Food contributed for this special service will be given to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank and Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.

Last year, 640 pounds of food was donated by Heidelberg Church.

Spread the word! As a fundraiser for Heidelberg Union Church’s 275th anniversary celebration this year, the church is having a raffle drawing with 18 prizes included on the ticket.

In addition to the first prize being a beautiful fishbone quilt, there are gift certificates and gift cards from local businesses.

The raffle drawing will be Oct. 11 following the confirmation reunion dinner in fellowship hall.
