“Heroes Of Dirt” (PG-13), a Lehigh Valley-produced film about a BMX rider who wants to become a stunt champion and mentors a troubled teen, opened Sept. 4 at the Carmike Promenade, Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley.
“Heroes Of Dirt” was listed in the “Top 75 Fall Movies To Watch” by New York Magazine.
The PG-13 rated action-adventure film was filmed at the Cattywoods BMX Trails, Catasauqua, among other Valley locations.
Eric Bugbee, who grew up in Catasauqua, is writer-director. Jill Bugbee of Allentown is co-writer-producer. Manny and Pauline Ribau of Allentown area co-producers. Joel Ivory of Bethlehem is cinematographer.
The film’s actors include Will Martinez of Emmaus and James Nester and Ryan Alexander, both of Bethlehem.
Screening times for Sept. 9 at Carmike Promenade, were 11:30 a.m. and 2, 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m.
