Jaindl Companies recently celebrated its July purchase of the A-Treat® soda brand, founded in 1918 by Joseph and Jack Egizio, with a Fizz and Franks event at Jaindl Farms, Orefield.

Customers could purchase a Yocco’s hot dog with an A-Treat soda or a Jaindl turkey barbecue for a $1 and sample A-Treat sodas Aug. 29.

All proceeds from the special purchase were donated to the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley.

At the time of the A-Treat company purchase, David Jaindl said he saw an opportunity to restore the nearly 100-year-old iconic brand back to its original luster.

“We are proud to add A-Treat to the Jaindl family of consumer products produced here in the Lehigh Valley,” said Jaindl. “We see not only an opportunity to bring the brand back to the market, but back to life.”

Fizz and Franks also included Yuengling’s Ice Cream.

Customers could sample Yuengling’s Ice Cream Vanilla, Black & Tan, and Root Beer Float flavors.

A-Treat prize giveaways were also available throughout the event.
