A 44-year-old Lynn Township man died after being involved in a crash with a motor vehicle around 6:23 p.m. at the intersection of Route 100 and Glenlivet Drive, Upper Macungie Township.
Anthony E. Williams, of 5772 Route 100, New Tripoli, was pronounced dead 7:08 p.m. Aug. 28 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim said.
Grim said Williams’ death was due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Upper Macungie Township police say Williams was southbound on a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Route 100, when a northbound 2003 Ford Focus wagon driven by William E. Davies, 70, of Fogelsville, attempted to make a left turn onto Glenlivet Drive west.
Police say the car turned left in front of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle struck the car.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital. Davies sustained minor injuries, police say.
Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Fogelsville and Upper Macungie fire departments assisted at the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
