Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2096 Independent Road, Weisenberg Township, will host the gospel group, "Witness," 7 p.m. Aug. 30.
The group performs contemporary and traditional Christian music.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company, 2500 Golden Key Road, is selling meat pies from Zook's.
Choices are: chicken, sausage, or beef in 9-inch or 6-inch sizes.
Deadline to order is Aug. 29 with a delivery date of Sept. 10 at the fire station.

Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society will meet 6 p.m. Aug. 25 at the society's headquarters, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, Weisenberg Township.
There will be a potluck supper. Bring a favorite side dish or dessert.
Drinks, hot dogs and paper products will be furnished.
Following dinner, there will be a tour of the Snyder's One-room schoolhouse, which has been restored and furnished by the late Carl D. Snyder. If you have any questions, call Don at 610-298-2352.
A genealogy workshop is being offered at the historical society 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 5.
Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend.

The annual Schpotyaahr Fescht will take place Sept. 12 and 13 at the headquarters.
Festival hours are noon- 6 p.m.
There will be great exhibits, delicious food, good musical entertainment, children's activities, and access to the library, store and museum,
Nicole Donatone and the Hawks will perform Sept. 12. The Majestics will perform Sept. 13.
Valet service will be available for handicap parking from Holbens Valley Road.

Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township, will sponsor a Lynda Randle Concert 7 p.m. Sept. 11.
Randle traveled with Bill Gaither's gospel tours for many years.
Doors open 5 p.m. with Jack Snyder and Friends entertaining until 6:15 p.m.

A genealogy conference is being offered Sept. 11 at Kutztown University's Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, beginning with a bus tour about "Church Trails: North from Philadelphia" covering Huff's Church, Franconia Mennonite Church, Schwenkfelder Library and others.
On Sept. 12, an extensive conference will take place 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the academic forum.
Topics include: "Migrants and a Marriage," "The Roles of German-Speaking Immigrant Women and Girls," "Using Fraktur to Locate Ancestors" and "Tradition, Cosmology and Healing in the Dutch Country."
