J. Alex Satkowski, 77, of Orefield, died July 31, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Kathleen (Carr) Satkowski for 47 years.

Born in Flushing, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles and Rachel (Trexler) Satkowski.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was the owner of Tall Timbers Nursery, Allentown, until he retired in 2012.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Trex and his wife Colleen of Coplay; a daughter, Jennifer and her husband Jeffrey McCary of Schnecks-ville; three grandchildren, Liam, Olivia and Nicole; and a great-grandson, Lukas.

He was predeceased by a brother, Trexler Satkowski.
