Heidelberg
Hot food and fireworks! In celebration of its 275th anniversary this year, Heidelberg United Church of Christ and Lutheran congregations will have a food stand next to each other at "Night in the Country" 4-10 p.m. Aug. 15.
Church members want to raise community awareness of Heidelberg Union Church and to generate money for congregational expenses.
Members of Heidelberg UCC will offer scrumptious homemade pies with ice cream in addition to turkey barbecue, baked beans, root beer floats and bottled water at its stand.
Call Linda Hausa-mann at 610-767-5281 to help bake or donate pies and Sheri Hausman at 610-440-0648 to volunteer.
Lutheran members will be selling sweet Italian sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, taco in a bag and drinks.
Anyone needing more information or in volunteering in the stand should contact Betty Krause at 610-767-6949.

Inspiring idea! Before you throw away your old ink cartridges, thick twice.
Heidelberg Union Church recycles ink cartridges to help with the cost of supplies for the office.
Each cartridge provides the church with $2 credit.
If you have any old cartridges you want to get rid of, bring them to the church and drop them in one of the boxes marked recycled ink cartridges.
