Retail theft
Christopher J. Vetter, 39, of Bound Brook, N.J., was charged with retail theft after he allegedly removed six Michael Kors designer handbags valued at approximately $960 from Marshall's discount department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 11:49 a.m. April 27. Further investigation and assistance by the Watching Police Department in New Jersey led to the identification and arrest of Vetter, police said.
A Whitehall man was arrested, taken into custody and transported o Lehigh County Central Booking Center for processing after he was seen removiing merchandise from clothing racks and shelving without paying at Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 9:52 p.m. July 27. Charges will be filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Theft from motor vehicle
Reported by a resident of the 2600 block of Rolling Green Place, Lower Macungie Township, actors entered an unlocked vehicle and took an audio cable, headphones and Jolly Ranchers candies valued at $78 sometime between 8 p.m. July 23 and 8:30 a.m. July 24.
Reported in the 6600 block of Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and took a Garmin GPS navigation unit, valued at $50, sometime between 11 p.m. July 27 and 7 a.m. July 28. The investigation continues.
Reported by a 37-year-old male, of Coopersburg, at Ciocca Audi, in the 4700 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, a Brietling Bentley Motors speed watch was removed from a vehicle between 8 a.m. June 19 and 10 a.m. June 26. Reported in the 5700 block of Tupelo Road, unknown actors entered a vehicle and took several items between 9 p.m.June 11 and 6:30 p.m. June12.
Access device fraud
Reported by a 19-year-old female, of Macungie, unknown actors used the woman's debit card information to withdraw a total of $503 from an ATM at Lafayette Ambassador Bank, 18th and Butler streets, Easton, June 30 and an ATM at Wells Fargo Bank, Mountainvile Street, Allentown, 7:24 a.m.July 1.
Criminal mischief
Reported in the 6900 block of Sunflower Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a pool area through unlocked gates, tossed items about the pool grounds and threw rocks into the pool between 11 p.m. July 27 and 6 a.m. July 28. Fraud and forgery
Reported at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors attempted to purchase items using stolen credit card information 6:45 p.m. July 21. The investigation continues.
