Howard Moyer, a student at Emmaus High School and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, won a bronze medal in heavy equipment operations at the Pennsylvania SkillsUSA Championships held recently in Hershey.

Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to top finishers in the competition. Gold medal winners represented Pennsylvania at the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Ky., June 22 to 27.

Contestants in the state competition included students from Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School, Career Institute of Technology, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, Monroe Career and Technical Institute and Upper Bucks County Technical School.
