The Allentown Corps Salvation Army holds its 11th Annual "Back To School Carnival," 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Aug. 28, 144 N. Eighth St., Allentown. The Easton Corps Salvation Army holds its first "Back To School Carnival," 10:30 a.m. - noon Aug. 28, 1110 Northampton St., Easton.

The events will provide children with backpacks, pens, pencils and notebooks. Last year, more than 500 students from 43 Lehigh Valley schools participated.

Sponsors include Olympus, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, Allentown Kiwanis Club and PPL.
