MaryAnn Przekurat, second from the left, executive director of the Literacy Center of the Lehigh Valley, thanks the Emmaus Rotary Club for a donation and matching district 7430 grant totaling $4,000. The funds had a direct impact on the lives of 500 local students studying for the GED and learning English. Przekurat is joined by Sue Straeter-Doviak, president of Emmaus Rotary Club, far left; Ann Peaslee, Emmaus Rotarian and a member of the literacy committee of the club and Ginny Wingard, Emmaus Rotarian and founder of the literacy committee of the Emmaus Rotary Club. Wingard started the Emmaus Rotary literacy sub-committee in 2013.
