The Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli, will meet 6 p.m. Aug. 25 for a potluck supper at the headquarters at Werleys Corner Hotel and then travel to the Snyder's one-room school, Camp Meeting Road, New Tripoli.

Meat, beverages and paper products will be furnished, so bring your favorite side dish or dessert to add to the meal.

The schoolhouse was restored by the late Carl Snyder and furnished by him in an historical manner.

Weisenberg Township Fire Company, 2500 Golden Key Road, is having a car wash 8 a.m.-noon on Aug. 15.

The fire company will also be selling meat pies from Zook's. Available are chicken, sausage or beef in 9-inch or 6-inch sizes.

Deadline to order is Aug. 29 with a delivery date of Sept. 10.
