The Vacation Bible School theme this year at Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, July 27 through 31 was "Everest, Conquering Challenges with God's Mighty Power."

Each of the five groups of children at VBS had a Sherpa helping them climb the mountain. A Sherpa is a lifetime native of Mount Everest who helps people climb the mountain as their lungs are adapted to the mountainous altitude.
