Northwestern Recreation Commission is hosting its 17th annual Night in the Country 4-10 p.m. Aug. 15. Rain date is on Aug. 16.
There will be live music, a huge car cruise, DJ, Chinese auction, bingo, plus great food and activities.
To end the evening, a fabulous fireworks display is planned.
Admission is by donation.

The clothing closet at Ebenezer Church, New Tripoli, will be open from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12. Free clothing is available for the entire family. Take as much as you need. Proof of need not required.

The Old Time Plow Boys' summer show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at 22 Luckenbill Road, Kuztown.
There will be children's games, crafts, barrel rides, wagon rides, antique and garden tractor pulls and great food.
Freyberger One Room Schoolhouse will be open Sunday.
The 5th annual car and truck cruise-in with antiques, classics, cruisers, trucks and haulers will take place Saturday.
Crazy Hearts Band will perform 5-8 p.m. Saturday with line dancing in the barnyard. Jack and Friends will perform from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
