DUI

Nathan Adams, 26, of Wescosville, was charged with driving under the influence after police were called to an accident in the 600 block of Chestnut Street 2:10 a.m. June 28. Adams allegedly struck a parked car. According to police, Adams was processed at the Lehigh County DUI center.

Shem Siahi, 47, of Whitehall, was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly struck a parked car in the 600 block of Chestnut Street July 9. According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. after reports of an accident involving a vehicle rollover and found the driver fled the scene on foot. Siahi allegedly was located by state troopers who were in the area. Siahi was processed and arraigned.

Burglary

Adam Walsh, 27, no current address, was charged with burglary after police responded to a residence in Emmaus July 2. Walsh allegedly broke into the home and took jewelry and electronics. Officers found Walsh at the Emmaus Public Library and took him into custody. Most of the jewelry taken in the burglary was recovered at a jewel shop where Walsh had allegedly sold the items.

Theft

A resident of the 1200 block of West Jubilee Street reported a Kenmore grill valued at $200 was taken from his driveway July 10.

Criminal mischief

A resident of the 100 block of North Fifth Street reported sugar was poured into the gas tank of a vehicle July 4. The investigation continues.

Several residents in the 100 block of North Fifth Street reported an actor was shooting house and car windows with a BB gun June 29. Several residents reported damage. The investigation continues.
