Hit and run
State police at Fogelsville are investigating a hit and run accident in Lower Macungie Township in which a lawn and a lamppost were damaged. According to police, a vehicle was eastbound on Elbow Lane between 11:30 p.m. June 19 and 5:30 a.m. June 20 when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp left curve and drove onto the front lawn in the 1800 block of Elbow Lane and struck a lamppost. The vehicle continued into the next yard and damaged the lawn before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information on this incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Theft from vehicle
Reported by a resident of Treeline Drive, Lower Macungie Township, un- known actors entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway and took a wallet containing a debit card and about $140 cash between 7:30 p.m. June 24 and 7:30 a.m. June 25. Reported in the 6000 block of Timberknoll Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a laptop computer valued at $1,500 between 8 p.m. July 1 and 3:15 a.m. July 2. Reported in the Wingate Hotel parking lot, 4325 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, un-known actors broke into an Enterprise rental vehicle parked at the hotel and took luggage, clothing and a Microgate LED timing scoreboard. between 1 p.m. June 19 and 7 p.m. June 20. Theft
Lloyd Christopher Irons, 22, of Allentown, was charged with theft after he allegedly took a cellphone from the employee lounge at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 8. The cellphone was recovered by South Whitehall police.
DUI
A 17-year-old male of Allentown was arrested for driving under the influence and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop along Cedar Crest Boulevard, just north of Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:15 a.m. June 27. The teen was driving a stolen vehicle, according to police. The investigation continues.
Retail theft
John Duke Emrich, 22, of Lower Macungie Township, was placed under arrest after he allegedly took three compact discs and a fishing lure with a total value of $27.38 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:40 p.m. June 29. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Harassment
Stephen Aaron Burks, 53, of Lower Macungie Township, was charged with harassment after he allegedly threw a vacuum cleaner at another person in a residence in the 3500 block of Knerr Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 7:30 p.m. June 29. A non-traffic citation was filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Arianna Marie Riche, 22, of Reading, was cited for harassment after she allegedly struck a 23-year-old woman, of Emmaus, with an open hand at a self-check out lane in Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:50 p.m. June 21. Riche allegedly fled the scene and was cited for harassment in District Court 31-3-02 June 30.
Amanda Courtney Abrahams, 33, of Emmaus, was cited for harassment after she allegedly sent threatening messages on social media to a 35-year-old woman, of Wescosville, 8:07 p.m. June 26. Abrahams was cited for harassment in District Court 31-3-02 June 30.
