PBS39 is inviting local and independent musicians to participate in its new Steel Sessions series.

Steel Sessions is a new music series created to provide exposure to undiscovered artists of all genres. Each half-hour episode will feature one musical act and will air 11 p.m. weeknights beginning Aug. 17. A new episode will air each weeknight for two weeks.

Applications will be accepted through July 15, selected artists will be notified by July 22 and the first 10 episodes will be taped Aug. 13 and 14.
