COMMUNITY BIKE WORKS, Allentown needs "Earn-a-Bike" instructors for children ages nine to 17. Volunteers will mentor and assist children in repairing bicycles. MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown is looking for volunteers (18+ years) to do grocery shopping for seniors who are homebound and adults with disabilities who can cook, but can't get to the store themselves. Choose the area of Lehigh County that works best for you. Flexible scheduling is based on client's needs for grocery shopping (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). Background checks are at their expense. MIRACLE LEAGUE OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Schnecksville – Be a "Baseball Angel" - come out to volunteer at the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. Have fun assisting players with special needs by being their angel/buddy. Volunteers will help the players bat, run bases and catch while having a great time. Games are Wednesday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. No prior experience is necessary. The minimum age is 12, if unsupervised.
