Retail theft
Sean A. Lewis, 37, of Toms River, N.J., was taken to Lehigh County Central Booking for processing June 16 after he allegedly attempted to load three televisions into his car without paying for the merchandise at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township. According to police, store security personnel allegedly saw Lewis flee in an older model Honda with tinted windows and notified police. When police pulled behind the vehicle for a traffic stop Lewis allegedly fled in the vehicle, leading police on a vehicle chase on State Route 100, Interstate 78, State Route 22, Cedar Crest Boulevard, Tilghman Street and ending at Tilghman Street and Blue Barn Road, Upper Macungie Township. Police found Lewis also is wanted on outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. No traffic accidents or injuries resulted from the vehicle chase, according to police.
Tanya Mae Appleby, 38, and Larissa Janet Toribio, 19, both of the 3500 block of New Smithville Road, Allentown, are accused of retail theft after they allegedly removed $75.74 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:09 p.m. June 16.
Adrian Brian Allen, 19, of New Tripoli, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly took $31 in merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, about 12:25 p.m. June 16. He was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking for processing.
Found property
Located in the 4000 block of Charles Road, Upper Milford Township, a brown leather purse was recovered about 6:52 a.m. June 9. Anyone with information regarding the owner is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Access device fraud
Naafi Dawud Pearsall, 23, and Melvin Jenkins Jr., 22, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., were taken into custody along State Route 222 South at Krocks Road 9:29 p.m. May 24 after police stopped the vehicle they were in for allegedly speeding. According to police, a search of the vehicle revealed 34 fraudulent credit and gift cards with a face value of $1,000 allegedly in the possession of Pearsall. Pearsall was charged with access device fraud. Jenkins was found to be wanted in Virginia on felony burglary charges and was charged as a fugitive from justice. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02 and District Court 31-2-02.
Harassment
Kacee Marie Allen, 21, of Emmaus, will be charged with harassment after she allegedly struck a 26-year-old female in the face in the 3000 block of Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 4:52 p.m. June 9. Charges will be filed in District Court 31-2-03, police say.
Reported at Lower Macungie Middle School 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, a 14-year-old female punched a 15-year-old female in the face with a closed fist after an argument over music playing in art class June 10. The 14-year-old was referred to a private youth and child agency.
Criminal mischief
Reported by a resident in the 4400 block of South Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor damaged a mailbox between 3 and 5 p.m. June 11. Anyone with information about the incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Theft by deception
Reported by a resident in the 4600 block of Berwyn Lane, Lower Macungie Township, an unamed actor deceived the resident into accepting a bad check and sending a MoneyGram in return.
