Richard "Dick" G. Kramlich, 89, of Whitehall, died June 25, 2015, at home. He was the husband of Ora "Dolly" D. Kramlich for 65 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Richard F. and Elizabeth "Alice" (Giehl) Kramlich.
He was a 1943 graduate of Allentown High School. He attended Lehigh University.
He was a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and was in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a navigator, bombardier and tail gunner on a P-2V Neptune. He was again activated with VP-931, conducting ASW operations in support of nuclear testing in the Eniwetok Islands in 1951.
He was a design engineer and held multiple patents for Fuller Company/F.L. Smidth from 1954 until 1989. He consulted for the company until 1996.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hokendauqua. He had been a church deacon, trustee, elder, Sunday school superintendent, treasurer and choir member for more than 60 years.
He was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers. He was a Cub Scoutmaster in earlier years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Joanne Matthews and Alice and her husband Jack Wall, all of Walnutport; three sons, Richard Scott and his wife Gail (Parker), Michael of Whitehall, and Daniel and his wife Ann Hoefer of Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, William "Jeff" Matthews.
