The Allentown Flag Day Association recently hosted its 108th annual Flag Day concert at West Park. The event was surprisingly well-attended despite ominous storm clouds and the threat of rolling thunder. The Allentown Flag Day Association was founded in 1907 and is the oldest in the United States, even predating the holiday, which was not nationally recognized until 1949.
