Township commissioners voted unanimously 5-0 at the June 25 township meeting to appoint Bonaskiewich as acting manager. Salisbury Township Manager Randy Soriano has been on medical leave. Bonaskiewich, Salisbury Township assistant manager-director of finance, will be compensated "during Soriano's extended absence at the mananger's level," it was stated, which is an 11 percent increase in salary. In an email from Soriano read by Bonaskiewich at the meeting, it was stated, "It is his hope to return as soon as his medical team charts a course of action to get him ready to come back and continue." Soriano has been absent from the May 28 and June 11 and 25 township meetings. Bonaskiewich has been in charge of the meetings in Soriano's absence.
