Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville, is calling all "Parrotheads" ages 21 and older to check out the exhibits after hours and shake a tail feather to the Jimmy Buffet tribute band, "Parrotbeach," from 6-10 p.m., July 11 for "Zoo in Paradise."

Of course, no Jimmy Buffet party is complete without cheeseburgers, beer and margaritas.

Also, everyone is invited to get "down on the farm" July 18 as the Zoo presents Farm Fest.

Human herds can explore the importance of agriculture and food sustainability, meet domestic animals and learn how to milk a cow.

Morgenland Union Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having its first picnic of the season 4-9 p.m., June 27.

Festivities include cake walks, children's activities, raffles, food and live music by Main Street Cruisers.

Menu features turkey and ham barbecues, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, french fries, homemade desserts and ice cream.
