Joyce Burley Sterner, 89, formerly of Fullerton, died June 20, 2015, in Fellowship Manor, where she was a guest since 2009. She was the wife of the late Norman R. Sterner.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Maude (Saul) Peters.
She was an election registrar in her Whitehall voting district for many years.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Fullerton, where she worked in the kitchen for more than 30 years, and was a member of the quilters.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane and her husband Jeffrey Lamm of Emmaus; a son, Ron and his wife Rosalie of Whitehall; three grandchildren, Eric and his wife Laura Lamm of Macungie, Matthew Lamm of Morristown, N.J., and Stephanie and her husband Keith Morcom of Breinigsville; three great-grandchildren, Ava Rose, Charlotte Grace and Harper Jane; and a sister, June Marshall of Allentown.
She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Hodson; and a brother, Lloyd Peters.
There will be a callling hour beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 10 a.m., both June 25 at the church, 575 Grape St., Whitehall, 18052.
Contributions may be made to the church's Fullerton Field of Dreams fund.
