Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering an accelerated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program for students to obtain their Department of Health certification.
Class will be held Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. July 1 - 31 in the George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute (EMI) of Lehigh Valley Health Network, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown.
Students learn about didactic presentation, skill demonstration and hands-on practical skills, HazMat Awareness requirements, and CPR instruction and testing for the practical portion of CPR. Pre-requirements include successful completion of National Incident Management System online training NIMS 100 and 700. A physician release form and proof of health insurance is also required. Cost is $800; text is additional.
