The Allentown Garden Club presents another spectacular showing of local gardens for 2015. This self guided tour 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. begins with Allentown's Fragrance Garden at Cedar Beach Park. Created by a member of the garden club in 1989, this delightfully aromatic garden contains a wonderful array of herbs, perennials and shrubs and is located next to the Allentown Rose Garden. Wandering through the other nine gardens on the tour, one will find a lovely collection of hostas, potted plants, vegetable gardens, a rock garden and water features. Members of the Delaware- Lehigh Amateur Radio Club will participate in the national amateur radio field day 24-hour exercise through June 28 at Louise Moore Park, Country Club Road, off Hecktown Road, Easton. This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. For over 100 years, amateur radio, sometimes called ham radio, has allowed people from all walks of life to experiment with electronics and communications techniques, as well as provide a free public service to their communities during a disaster, all without needing a cell- phone or the Internet. Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club will hold its meeting 7:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Township Community Center, 2900 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem. Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society annual summer open house 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also July 12. During this two-day event, two tours of the Thomas Iron Works at Lock Ridge will be given noon and 3 p.m. The tours will leave the headquarters, the 1870 Lock Ridge Memorial Presbyterian Church, promptly. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes, dress accordingly and bring cameras. In the case of rain, the tour will be cancelled. Call 484-366-9987 for reservations. The event is free, but donations are appreciated. Light refreshments always served.

Aug. 1

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International will hold its third annual mini-golf outing at Putt-U in Center Valley. All funds raised will benefit the chapter's ASIST scholarship fund. Registration begins between 8 and 9 a.m. For more information, contact Laura. basara@flsmidth.com.

Aug. 7

Holy Family Manor Auxiliary will hold its annual yard sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 8. Sale will be held in St. Mary's Hall, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem. Food and home baked goods will be available for purchase on both days of the sale. Donations are now being accepted for the sale. Bring all items to the main lobby of Holy Family Manor between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. before July 31. Clothing, shoes, furniture, TVs and computer related items will not be accepted.
