The Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society will hold a summer open house 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 and 12.
Two tours will be offered of the Thomas Iron Works at Lock Ridge noon and 3 p.m. Tours will leave the society's headquarters, 1870 Lock Ridge Memorial Presbyterian Church. The tour will last approximately an hour and a half. Wear comfortable walking shoes, dress accordingly and bring a camera. In the case of rain, the tour will be cancelled. The museum, 407 Franklin Street, Alburtis, will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Alburtis Lions Club meets 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month at The Willows Restaurant, Macungie. For more information on the club, call 610-966-4797. The annual picnic for the club will be held 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at Lock Ridge Park Pavillion.
Alburtis Borough Council will meet 7 p.m. June 24 and July 8, 206 Franklin St., Alburtis.
Lower Macungie Senior Citizens meet the first and third Tuesday of each month noon at the community center on Brookside Road.
