Emery Quintes Taglioli
Emery Quintes Taglioli, 86, of South Whitehall Township, died peacefully June 13, 2015, in his home.
He and his wife Josephine (DeCal) Taglioli celebrated 61 years of marriage last Nov. 21.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Quintes D. and Mary (Knute) Taglioli.
A 1946 graduate of Allentown High School, he was a career contractor.
He owned and operated E. Taglioli Construction Company; was president of Eastern Exterior Wall Systems; and was a superintendant with Duggan and Marcon Inc.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served actively from 1951-53.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
Always active in the community, he was a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree; former board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown; life member of the Italian Club; member of American Legion Howard L. Peter Post 576, Hogan's Club, Woodlawn Fire Company and the Travelers Protective Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Attorney Quintes D. Taglioli and his wife, Cindy, Anthony J. Taglioli, all of Allentown; daughters Lisa Butz of Orefield, Gina, wife of Mark Demchyk, of Sinking Spring; grandchildren Attorney Daniel E. Taglioli and his wife, Elizabeth, of Allentown, Sarah Taglioli Raber, wife of Christopher Raber, of Whitehall, Erica M., wife of Andrew Spontak, of Lansdale, Michael Butz of Allentown, Steven Butz of Orefield, Emily Jo Demchyk of New York City, N.Y.; great-grandson Emery Q. Taglioli II.
He was predeceased by sisters Lenora Donnelly and Thelma Petruccelli.
