Firefighters from Western Salisbury Fire Department recently participated in a training exercise with MedEvac helicopter transport personnel from Lehigh Valley Health Network at the Cedar Crest campus to familiarize themselves with rescue and emergency procedures in the event of a helicopter emergency at the hospital's helipad or elsewhere. In addition to learning the locations of various systems on the aircraft, MedEvac personnel went over emergency shutdown procedures for the helicopter's engines with firefighting personnel.
