STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am a member of the Class of 2015 at Emmaus High School.

Q: What was your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject was AP United States Government and politics. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about our nation and government. It is nice to be able to connect what I learned in class to current events.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: In high school, I received Principal's Honor Roll every marking period, the Academic Excellence award every year, the Donley Award for Excellence and the Service Above Self award. I graduated as an Honor Graduate. In Key Club, I received the Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lt. Governor award. In cross country, I received the Most Improved Runner award and two varsity letters.

Q: Were you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: Throughout high school, I participated in cross country, winter track, track and field, Student Government Association and Key Club. During my senior year, I focused on SGA as president and Key Club as an international trustee.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: After high school, I will attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I plan to study business with concentrations in finance and international business with a minor in Spanish. After undergraduate school, I hope to pursue a law degree.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: My biggest challenge has been handling my hectic life. I know how important it is to be organized.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I would like to be remembered for my hard work in SGA and Key Club. I dedicated a lot of time to strengthen the clubs so others can have the incredible opportunities I have been fortunate to experience.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My parents, Matthew and Deirdre, brother, Jesse, and two sisters, Emily and Laura, are in my family.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to my parents and three older siblings. They are great mentors who help me through life's challenges.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: My advice to my peers is to find something that makes you happy and immerse yourself in it.
