Public is invited! On June 7, Heidelberg Union Church will continue its 275th anniversary celebration 11 a.m. June 7 with a Soontagschule Festival Service honoring the Faith Formation Sunday School classes of the past and present.

Immediately following the service, there will be an old-fashioned picnic and basket social from 12:30-5 p.m.

All are welcome to come and enjoy the day's festivities.

Dress casually and comfortably for the picnic afterward.

Donations of baskets with a value of $20 are being sought. Baskets should be placed in a clear cellophane gift bag with a 3-inch by 5-inch card attached describing the contents. Door prize donations are also welcome.

Don't forget to bring lawn chairs, family and friends.

Food will be available for purchase.

Jack Snyder, Howard Truitt and Jack and Friends will be entertaining with music during the afternoon.

In addition to a cake walk, there will be children's games and face painting.

Center of attention! If you, your son or daughter will be graduating from high school, college or technical school this year, call the Heidelberg Church parish secretary at 610-767-4740 (UCC) or 610-767-1526 (Lutheran) and leave the name of the graduate and school from which he or she will be graduating.

Include any special awards or recognition received.

Heidelberg UCC Graduate Recognition Sunday is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. June 14. The Lutheran Graduate Recognition Sunday will be 11 a.m. that same day.

Show support! Germansville Fire Company is selling Thomson's Hoagies to benefit the 100th anniversary celebration July 11.

Help the local fire company by buying or selling hoagies June 15.

With the fire company in mind, why not come out and see what's going on at the station by attending the Germansville Fire Company meetings 7 p.m. the first Monday of every month.

Also open to the public, are the training sessions 7-9:30 p.m. every Monday.

Many helping hands are needed constantly at events hosted at the fire company or by the fire company.
