The Woman's Club of Whitehall has chosen Sharon Chen as Girl of the Month for April.

She is the daughter of Mr. Chen and Mrs. Wu of Whitehall.

Sharon has achieved high honor roll for all marking periods.

She is a member of the high school's jazz band, Leo club (historian), art club, Spanish club (treasurer), debate team and tennis team.

She is also a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish National Honor Society (vice president), National Fraternity of Student Musicians and the Student Division of the American College of Musicians.

She was named a Zephyr Academy artist of the month and earned second place in the Woman's Club Festival of the Arts contest. She is a participant in the National Piano Guild.

She serves on the Whitehall Township Public Library Teen Advisory Board and is a DaVinci Science Center volunteer.

Sharon plans to attend Lehigh University in the fall to earn a bachelor of science degree in business administration and then a master's degree.
