HORNET HAPPENINGS

Last month Emmaus supported the arts, hosting events such as Broadway Night, the art show and Evening of Theatre.

Broadway night featured several different acts, including seniors Micah Gilley and Mason Trinkle. The two musical stars sang a heartfelt duet.

Not only did Broadway night feature singing, but it also featured different instrumental performances.

Juniors Jake Gilbert and Murphy Pan showcased their talents by performing a difficult violin concerto.

The night went on to include a number of other performances. Senior Noriani Estevez performed a song from "The Little Mermaid" while wearing a mermaid tail.

Emmaus High School also hosted its annual art show, with this year's theme being "unlocking creativity." The event required countless hours of preparation by students and teachers alike and the exhibits took up a large majority of the second floor. The night also featured baked goods and live music.

With the end of school approaching, students are reminded to follow the final exam schedule. Exams begin June 4 and the exams will follow the nine-eight-seven period order. June 8 is the last day of exams and the following Tuesday is the make-up day.

June 10 is the official last day of school for all underclassmen.

Looking ahead, Baccalaureate will be held 9 a.m. June 6 in the auditorium. Graduation is scheduled 1 p.m. at Stabler Arena.

Diplomas will be distributed 8 to 10:30 a.m. June 8.

Fall sports physicals will be held 8 a.m. June 13 in Café 1 and 2.
