South Whitehall Township police were dispatched just before 11 a.m. May 19 to the 800 block of Route 309 North, just north of the Tilghman Street overpass, south of the Route 22 underpass, for a motor vehicle accident involving a Ford Focus and a white, International truck pulling a trailer.

The lnternational truck overturned while attempting an evasive maneuver before striking the car.

Truck driver Leigh Ramer, 52, of Woodstown, N.J., was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, with minor injuries, police say.

According to police, no injuries were reported by Brett Dantonio, 46, of Sellersville, the driver of the car.

Route 309 was closed northbound between Tilghman Street and Route 22 for accident clean up.

PennDOT reopened the highway around 4 p.m.
