School board primary ends in tie on Republican ticket

Of the nine candidates seeking one of the five open four-year seats on the Northwestern Lehigh School Board, two ended in an unofficial tie in Tuesday's primary.

According to an unofficial tally by the Lehigh County Voter Registration Office, Democrats who will see their names on the Nov. 3 ballot include Willard Dellicker, with an unofficial 452 votes; Todd Leiser with an unofficial 416 votes; John Casciano with an unofficial 403 votes; Gregory Laub with an unofficial 416 votes and Joseph Fatzinger with an unofficial 429 votes.

On the Republican ticket Charlene Rauscher garnered an unofficial 791 votes; Fatzinger brought in an unofficial 723 votes; Dellicker received an unofficial 874 votes and Leiser earned an unofficial 696 votes.

Laub and Casciano tied with an unofficial 667 votes each.
