Reported by a resident in the 1700 block of Pinewind Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a residence and took an Xbox One home video game console and related equipment between 8:30 and 11 a.m. May 8. Theft from motor vehicle
Reported by residents in the 2000 block of Rolling Meadow Drive and the 2100 block of Woodbridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered and rummaged through unlocked cars parked in driveways between 11 p.m. May 7 and 8:30 a.m. May 8. Harassment
Thomas Muller, 66, of Allentown, is charged with harassment after he allegedly followed an Allentown woman and her family through a neighborhood in his vehicle along Morning Star Drive at Lamb Terrace, Lower Macungie Township, 1:30 p.m. May 8. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
DUI
Jason Bradley Lewis, 30, of Emmaus, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after he was stopped for alleged vehicle equipment violations 12:04 a.m. April 26. Charges were filed in District Court 31-1-08.
Retail theft
Daniela Rosas-Guerra, 25, of Colombia and Alana Medina, 22, of Allentown, are charged with retail theft after they allegedly placed $105.21 worth of merchandise into shopping bags and attempted to leave Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, without paying for the items 3:15 p.m. May 8. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Criminal mischief
Reported in the 4700 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors scratched and dented the top of a truck between 5:30 p.m. April 23 and 1:30 p.m. May 10. The investigation continues.
Identity theft
Reported by a resident in the 7000 block of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor used the resident's name and identification to file a federal income tax return 2:09 p.m. April 27. The investigation continues.
DUI hit and run
Robert V. Gibson, 57, of Macungie, is charged with driving under the influence after a hit and run accident at the intersection of Alburtis Road and Orchard Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 8:22 p.m. May 12. According to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville, Gibson allegedly tried to leave the accident scene. Two witnesses attempted to stop Gibson from leaving the accident scene and Gibson allegedly shoved one of the witnesses multiple times in an effort to get away. Gibson then allegedly called a person described by police as his girlfriend to pick him up at the scene. Gibson then allegedly drove his girlfriend's car from the scene just as state police troopers and members of the Alburtis Police Department arrived. Gibson allegedly attempted to elude police and eventually stopped in his driveway where he was placed under arrest. Gibson was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking Center. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Simple assault
Matthew Ruth, 42, no address given, was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck a female, 41, in the head while traveling along Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 9:52 a.m. May 5. According to police, Ruth and the female returned to an apartment in the 4200 block of Chestnut Street where Ruth allegedly slapped the female, threw her to the ground, pushed her from a chair and threw a mirror at her, striking her on the head. Ruth was arraigned in District Court 31-3-03.
Criminal mischief
Reported in the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors damaged the exterior of a residence at approximately 5:30 p.m. May 5. The investigation continues.
Disorderly conduct
Monica Garcia, 35, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly became irate after being terminated by her employer, Global Access, 330 Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 2:10 and 2:15 p.m. May 5. Garcia allegedly banged on the exterior walls of the business with a small baseball bat and made unreasonable noise. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Identity theft
Reported by a resident of Reservoir Hill Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:08 a.m. May 1, an unknown actor filed a fraudulent IRS tax return using the resident's identity. The investigation continues.
Theft
Reported by a female, 55, of Bethlehem, at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:41 a.m. April 14; a tan purse containing money, prescription medications and various bonus cards was left in a shopping cart and taken.
