Deciding the Salisbury Middle School should be greener, students Sien Bauman and Paige Mathieu proposed creating a flower bed in front of the school to seminar teacher Michelle DeOliveira. Calling it the Salisbury Perennial Garden Project, the two solicited help from area businesses and the community to help with the plan. One such business, Herbein's Garden Center and its owner Tom Bull stepped up and helped with the garden plan, donated the majority of perennial flowers and offered advice for a successful garden. Other contributions were received as well. ABOVE: On May 14, students help plant the perennials in the Salisbury Perennial Garden in the front of the school.
