The Macungie Farmers Market has opened for its ninth season and is open 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 29 in Macungie Memorial Park at the Walnut Street entrance. The market will be closed Aug. 27 for the Wheels of Time Car Show.

This year the market features 24 vendors including nine new vendors.

Do your shopping and have dinner at the market. Picnic tables are located under the shade trees for enjoyable dining. This year's market offers something for everyone including live music every week, cooking demonstrations on the first Thursday of each month and a kid's corner each month presented by the Emmaus Public Library and Out Of Our Minds Art Studio. There will be two farms days with the petting zoo and the annual craft fair in July.
