Samuel Mackaravitz, who will be 8 this month, celebrates with the mini-THON attendees after telling them that he has just completed treatments for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and is currently in remission. He and his parents, Jeffrey and Melissa, live in Emmaus.
Above: Northampton Area High School students show their excitement during a Four Diamonds mini-THON, held Saturday in the gym. The event raises money for childhood cancer research and care and support of those already diagnosed. Students danced, played games and enjoyed snacks and beverages during the 6-hour Mini-THON.
