Parkland, Dieruff tie with 15, Freedom, 14, in Freddys noms
Parkland High School received 15 nominations for "In the Woods" and Dieruff High School received 15 nominations for "In the Heights," tying for the most number of nominations, following by Freedom High School, with 14 nominations for "Hairspray" in the 2015 Freddy Awards.
Rehearsals for the Opening Number of the live broadcast featuring four students from each of the 30 participating schools began May 7 at the State Theatre Center for the Arts for the 2015 Freddy Awards Ceremony, to be broadcast live, at 7 p.m. May 21 from the State Theatre on 69 WFMZ-TV and wfmz.com,
Tickets for the Awards Ceremony on May 21st are made available to the participating schools first. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. May 18 statetheatre.org.
The public can get a "sneak peak" of the 2015 Freddy Awards TV production in action on Dress Rehearsal night, May 20. Information: freddyawards.org
