The Macungie Farmers Market will hold the ninth season grand opening 4 to 7 p.m. May 14. The market features local family farmers providing homegrown food: fruits, vegetables, meat products, eggs, baked goods, plants and more. The farmers market will be open 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October except Aug. 27. Parking is available at the park parking lot and along North Walnut Street.

The Macungie VFW will host Memorial Day activities May 25 beginning with a flag raising 8:30 a.m. The parade will begin 10 a.m. The parade route will be on Main Street from Buttonwood to Poplar streets. There will be Memorial Day Celebrations at Macungie Memorial Park following the parade.
