HORNET HAPPENINGS

Emmaus students celebrated this past weekend at the Senior Ball and Afterball festivities. Students walked on a red carpet into The Palace Center, which was decorated to fit the Masquerade theme.

Seniors Louis Berrigan and Faith Montgomery were named prom king and queen.

The night continued at the Afterball, held in the EHS cafeterias and auxiliary gyms. The Afterball featured food, a DJ, a mechanical bull, swimming and various prizes including a car and Play Station 4 game system.

Juniors will have their prom 7 to 10 p.m. May 9 at the Econo Lodge.

Advance Placement exams will continue through May 15. The Keystone exams will start May 13. Exams will be administered in biology, literature and algebra.

The spring choral and symphonic band concerts will be held May 14 and 20, respectively. Both events begin 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The sophomore class will host May Jam 3 to 5 p.m. May 12 in the Emmaus High School stadium. The event will feature student bands as well as teacher Mike Flynn's band, School's Out. There is a cost for admission.
